this is in response to Tom's thread. those are all very good questions.  (give or take a few, lol.)  why don't yall ask him yo self?  it's called prayer.  there is no trick to it.  all you do, is call on his name.  any place any time.  he never sleeps.  he is every where. and you don't have to be a "christian" to do it.  you can be anything.  hmm, you can even be Muslim or Budist for all he cares.  If you ask God to reveal himself to you, he ain't gonna hold back. but don't give up so quikly.  seek his face.  and be careful.  some peeps mistakin an answer they don't want to hear for a "no response" from God.

some flaws in your logic...

1) budhist's have no god they worship the inner self through self-improvement and discipline.
2) muslims may argue that allah is not the same god as the christians and vice versa.. they may also argue that since their deity of choice allah, god  (same goes for the jewish yaweh) is the only true 'god' then the other doesnt exist...

Well, then, don't be buddhist or muslim, and then pray to god, LOL.  

As far as muslims go, they only believe there is one god, we believe that too, so even if we consider him different, there is only one truth.  We're both praying to the same god, because out of definition there is only one.  Peace~
