Son this type of music has been around forever and most of you have never even listened to it, much less called it "real westcoast shit". It's always been seen as that weird backpacker shit that wasn't gangsta enough. It took Dre cosigning this dude and being featured in a song for people to give it a chance.

i also got flashbacks to chillin' hearing dre's raps...he definitely sounded better on other tracks recently, like the one with slim the mobster. for kendrick its part of his style, but it doesn't suit dre very well at all. as a couple of others said, the track would be better without dre altogether.

beat wise, game's 'the ocean' comes to mind, but this is a lot fuller and complete, bumps nice enough
