I love diss records it sometimes brings out that raw shit and makes a rapper come harder on a track. But fuck that diss nick canon and Mariah did on Em that was wack!

Kool Moe Dee vs. Busy Bee - Live at Harlem World 1981

http://limelinx.com/files/080bc3835cab7efdd78c7f962712054c

http://www.mediafire.com/?908ydc7bn5wlfk5

The year was 1981. Ronald Regan becomes president. The average cost for a gallon of gas was just $1.38.
Muhammad Ali retires with a career record of 55 wins & 5 defeats & one of Hip Hop's most legendary battles takes place.

It is widely accepted that Busy Bee battled more MC's than anyone else in the early 80's. Bee often boasted of defeating over 800 rappers in their prime. Kool Moe Dee wouldn't be one of them. From the get go this battle wasn't on an even playing field as Moe Dee was on another planet compared to Busy Bee.
This ended up redefining "Rap Battles" and what we see to this day.

This started after Mistah F.A.B. & Royce Da 5'9 battled for an Allhiphop event live at SOB's in 2007.
F.A.B. won by a unanimous decision. (To save face...Royce would later claim that he was told this would be a cipher not a "battle".)
Shortly after the event Royce released a freestyle over Jay-Z's blue magic beat with a line aimed at Mistah F.A.B. The Response records continued & this one was over almost as quickly as it started. The two would squash this with a phone call.

Royce is a punk for the way that one played out. He lost a battle fair and square and just couldn't take losing to a hyphy rapper

Said artist leaves label due to issues with contract. (See Dru Down, Dangerous Dame)

Pooh-Man found himself with his back against the wall after leaving the Dangerous Crew.
Former friends now enemies dissed him on Too Short's 1993 Get In Where You Fit In.
Pooh fired back with numerous tracks on his Judgement Day LP.
Spice-1 & Ant Banks both feeling slighted, answered with songs on their next LP's Ammerikkka's Nightmare & The Big Bad Ass.
The last response record was 1994's Ain't No Love from Pooh's album of the same name.

In a 2004 interview with Murder Dog, Spice-1 had this to say regarding Pooh-Man :

Have you ever settled the beef between you and Pooh Man?

Me and Pooh squashed the shit. He got out the pen and I ran into him. We started choppin' it up and smoked a few blunts and shit. Two weeks later this nigga comes smashin' passed my house with hella cop cars chasing him and a helicopter.

What the hell did he do?

That nigga robbed a bank. He's probably gonna be in there for a minute. That was my nigga. We had a few disagreements and guns was pulled. Tempers flared but we squashed all that shit.

So he wasn’t no studio gangster?

Pooh ain’t no studio gangsta. I knew from the beginning that he wasn’t no studio gangsta. I was prepared to get down with the nigga. We was gonna shoot it out and everything my nigga.

Did you and him ever get into any shoot outs with each other?

No, I had drove up and approached him one time and I had like three or four niggaz in the car with uzi's and I had a glock and shit. He had some of his boys posted up in the house with some pistols and uzi's. Me and dude had a few words but no triggers was pulled.

For reasons known only to him...LL Cool J thought it was a good career move to take a swipe at label mate Warren G on his 1995 album Mr. Smith on the track Hollis To Hollywood. Warren G would respond almost 2 years later on his Take A Look Over Your Shoulder album on the track What We Go Through.  :eh:
