this song doesn't sound G-Funk at all btw, the beat is kinda entertaining as I said but it's pretty generic. definitely tries to emulate the 2001 sound, that you can hear on Music & Me ("Your Wife" kinda beat). I wouldn't mind hearing Nate over anybody's beat, G-Funk or not, as long as it sounds tight.

So "Music & Me" ain't G-Funk?

(Oh & yes they could have picked a less cheesy title than we gonna "party & puke", of course you can like a song while disliking its title.)

music & me ain't g-funk in the least... that's the reason y so many people were disappointed when it dropped (i still think it's a solid album imo)... even the battlecat production doesn't sound g-funk, the only two songs that have a g-funk sound (arguably) are another short story & the title track.

Don't know about others, but I wasn't disappointed with it then (& I stress it, it ain't got nothing to do with Nate's passing) & I still like it to this day, whereas the "unreleased" (officially that is, I got the promo on eBay for a few lousy bucks when not that many peeps did care about Nate) self-titled "Nate Dogg" album didn't strike me to be as solid a full-length album.

Damn, cant stop playin this track. Nate sounds perfect on it. Warren G and Game came on point too. Actually im happy to not hear Kendrick on it. He aint a G-funk/90s westcoast type of rapper. He gotta earn a place on this track if you know what i mean...

listen to this song and u will see if he can't adapt his style to a GFunk beat !!

Woulda preferred if Game wasn't on it, but Warren went in and it's always good to hear some new Nate.

The beat is really dope and Game and Warren both did their thing here even if neither is my favorite rapper or anything. The name sounds stupid when you read it but good when Nate Dogg sings it.

My only criticism is Warren needs to get back into a studio with some bigger budget production.

For an EP tho, its a nice track.

that new beat he laced for jeezy is actually pretty intricate, even if it lacks the west coast cliches will b cherishes like synth whistles and zapp claps

Actually the 'You Gotta Pay Me Remix' Warren did for Messy Marv is one of my favourite tracks of the year.

First time I hear anyone describe it as "fancy" but maybe it is? What I do know is it's most simply put proper English. But whether someone puts it or not, it don't (or doesn't in English) prevent no one reading it from understanding it.
At least those for whom English ain't their native tongue DO make the effort to write in English so that ALL can understand, if anything, as a matter of respect & basic courtesy. Do the American born members of the forum speak & write a second language other than American-English?

Funniest thing is, Americans are for the very most of them, very warm people who welcome foreigners with open arms. But don't seem to be so true with certain members of the forum?

positives - warren sounds good and obviously nate too, clean sounding mix

Good to hear Nate again!

Warren's dropped a decent verse and he has not been doing a lot of that to be honest.

Will bump this quite a lot cos of the points above

Warren's doing the right thing KEEPING IT in the family, keeping it WEST COAST,
no need to waste the last few gems Nate offfered us with no Fifty or anyone else who's not West Coast.

You realise Jeezy and Bun B are on the EP right?
