nah,  i always liked KRS-One and his music (especially as a guest-appearance rapper) -- the album he put out wit Tru Master in 10 was one of my fav albums taht year,,,
but at the same time he is a tad overrated.
the guy tends to be hailed as some kind of "official spokesperson for hiphop and the culture of hiphop", hence
the title "the teaher". i can only speak for myself,
but lyricaly n musicaly he hasnt earned that kind of "respect" from me.
and his "knowledge" on so-called "REAL hiphop-culture" and this so-called "REAL hiphop-mentality" hasn't
earned that respect from me either..
he's definitely not stupid, but hes also full of buhlooney.
ive seen some interviews wit him on youtube. "REAL hip hop is this, & REAL hiphop is that".. blah blah blah
honestly, he doesnt know more about "hiphop" than Nelly.

KRS blessed us with so much knowledge.  He's the Teacher and the Founder of the Temple of Hip-Hop.  He speaks to the essence of hip-hop, and he is our ambassador world-wide.   Anyone that disses KRS clearly has little respect for hip-hop.

I do trust that the people at this forum have good taste in rap music.  The problem however, is that you all are white and ashamed of your deep affection for hip-hop.  So you try to mask this affection behind projection (calling people like me a wigger), and immature tactics of a child.

It's not much different than a 7 year old boy who has an intense crush on a girl at school.  He accuses his best friend of being "in love" with the girl, and he pulls pranks on the girl and is mean to her.  That's pretty much the childish relationship most of you all have in regards to hip-hop.

The Mekkan Refugee has spoken.

I don't always approve of the way you are treated on here but you should be able to see that you bring this upon yourself at times. Your whole post is frustration and negativity masked as arrogance masked as dropping knowledge.

Noone should leave everything another person says unquestioned and that is what a great teacher will tell you.

then you must not listen to real hip hop . you must listen to ignorant pop crap. KRS-1 with BDP has 4 classic albums in a row unlike your favortie artist.

midwestryder doesn't get jokes or trolling. He only understands the deeper meaning in Nellys music.

please KRs-1 knows more about hip hop then nelly ,you, me & everybody on this forum . KRS-1 is hip hop unlike you . you are not hip hop at all & you are not american. KRS-1 is not full of buhlooney like you are. please krs-1 is one greatest lyricaly n musicaly. but you can't see that just means you don't know what lyricall is at all & you have no idea what good music is . krs-1 does not need to earn you respect at all . you have to earn his respect because this is his culture not yours .krs-1 helped make hip hop unlike you . you & other people just can't handle the truth & it hurts . krs-1 is not overrated ,he is underrated.BDp first 4 albums are hip hop classics & what hip hop is .
