"2002" had some really great material but it was basically a compilation. "Dillinger and Young Gotti" was a cohesive project, put together by the actual group. D&YG was the much better album.

2002 shitted on Dillinger & Young Gotti

Oh hell nah. "2002" wasn't even an album, just a collection of random songs.

random songs?

you say that like Every Single Day and Don't Stop aren't vintage Kurupt

and Gangsta Rap and Change the Game were 2 dopeass songs too

I didn't say that it didn't have dope songs on it, but still it's just a compilation.

2002 is a compilation of songs put together, no way does it fuck with D&G

1. Intro  - I roc mic's from the vaults

2. Roll Wit Us - not a bad remix but daz's beat is way better

3. Just Doggin' - big hutch weak remix (og from sunset park 94')

4. Smoke - Kurupt/Snoop Dogg/The Relativez dope song but then the relatives just ruined it for me

5. Gangsta Rap - The Dogg Pound - dope classic -

6. 10 Til Midnight - Kurupt/SKG - I always skip this

7. Living The Gangsta Life - taken from D&G

8. Don't Stop - from tha vaults but hutch ruined daz's mix

9. Change The Game (Remix)  - off a dj clue compilation the professional 2

10. Crip Wit Us - taken from D&G and that one is much better than 2002 version

11. What Cha About - Kurupt - descent track

12. Your Gyrlfriend 2 - Daz/Mac Shawn/Soopafly  - taken from RAW

13. Feels Good - Taken from RAW

14. Way Too Often - Soopafly/Kurupt   - another track in the vault also appeared Dat Woopty Woop

15. It'z All About That Money - Daz  Taken From RAW

16. Every Single Day - Classic but too bad it wasnt OG

What it all means: D&G was a much better solid DPG album and 2002 some shit put together from other albums with some rares put in there = not a DPG LP

"Roll Wit Us" "Just Doggin" "Smoke" & "10 Til Midnite" are remixes produced by Big Hutch & Darren Vegas
"Living Tha Gangsta Life" & "Crip Wit Us" are tha original versions

Actually, Dillinger & Young Gotti mostly contains remixes of unreleased Death Row material ("Shit Happens", "Crip Wit Up"... "How Many Niggaz") with edited/new verses & additional production by Mike Dean.
I mean, he stop his collaboration with Death Row Records, Daz first planned to release the Death Row material he stole with some projects. In 2000, he wanted to release0 Tha Pound - Underground Shit wich contained the original versions of tracks that appear later on D&G. He also planned a album/compilation under D.P.G. for "Dopedealers, Pimps & Players" before Death Row Records release :
Death Row Records presents Tha Dogg Pound 2002 (Still Pimpin... But Tha Hoez Just Scared)

I mean, even if Dillinger & Young Gotti is an album, it's almost a Dogg Pound compilation where Daz dissed Death Row and showed that Tha Dogg Pound (Tha Pound, DPG...) ain't dead with the end of Dogg Pound Records / Death Row collaboration, when Suge Knight got one message with his compilation : Tha Dogg Pound is Death Row !
The spot got shook, it was hell below | Is that Futureshock ?? | Hell, no, it's Death Row !

agree 100%, and kurupt didn't carry daz throughout the album, kurupt was actually nothing extraordinary on dillinger & young gotti (not to be compared with dogg food). he was decent, at times very good but also sometimes disappointing (we livin gangsta like) when daz was really good on the album imo. many good verses, hooks and he had the better solo song imo.

Can anyone post the OG "Just Doggin" from the Sunset Park OST? I lost my copy awhile back.

Uh oh, tha saga continues! Back in 2001, it was:
DPG's "Dillinger & Young Gotti" vs. Death Row's Tha Dogg Pound "2002"

Now, it's gonna be:
Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Bag (EP/Mixtape) vs. Death Row/WideAwake's Doggy Bag

in both cases the death row releases will win

Dillinger & Young Gotti was way better than 2002 IMO

DEFINITLY DILLINGER N GOTTI IS ONE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ALBUMS
