They actually did meet and have at least hung out before.  In that one book about Tupac by Michael Eric Dyson (I think it was called Holler If You Hear Me), toward the beginning of the book he had interviewed Tray Deee (who he praised, since he also mentions Snoop having flaked on him while saying that Tray Deee was a pleasant surprise in terms of what he revealed), who according to him had actually started to break down and cry when talking about Pac.
