The only thing I can think of is New York hip hop vs.  the Philly Neo-soul.

See this is what i hate anyone outside the eastcoast
alwayz thinks newyork and Philly the only place
out in the east shit NJ got its own sound too
and it depends where u go in the eastcoast

NY has diffrent sounds for diffrent boro's

Queens -Most queens MC use the Grimey sound
what we call "gutter" these days its mixed in with soul

Brooklyn: Most BK MC's on some neo soul shit its not jus
Philly

BX: usally what we call the boom bap style

Harlem: Neo soul wit some rock and gutter influence

Staten Island: Neo soul mixed with Boom bap

NOW PHILLY
Philly: Philly's style is just like Brooklyns jus diffrent voice tone

NOW JERSEY

Jersey: New jersey has a Influence of Boom bap Gutter
Neo soul and then a taste of westcoast influence
G FUNK jus pick up a red man or naughty by nature cd
notice the Bounce's claps p funk samples and g funk whistle

The east has so many flavors which is why we feel
the right to say we're just so dope

we got Gangsta rap 5%er Rap Street Hop
Neo soul Neo Funk Boom Bap we got that shit

Yeah, there's more flavors to the East than just N.Y./Philly..
From the grimey Wu-sound to jiggy Fabolous-tracks to that hardcore ole-skool Gangstarr sound back to club-hits from Roc-a-fella..

There's a lot of different sounds, and it's not always possible to divide them into parts of the coast.. Queens is a good example of different flavors, you get all kinds of styles here.

No one is saying that.  Just like Nima's not saying that the West has two sounds, L.A. and The Bay.
