too bad the album is a mixed bag.

This is why the West is dead. Best West Coast album in years & there are only two pages of replies.

Meanwhile, you guys hear Dre had a hand in mixing a song & it'll go ten pages.
dre produced Louis XIII

Got my copy today. local store in Australia suprised if its not in the UK??

Anyway, first listen iam a little disappointed. Had very high expectations though and i wont judge it off one listen.
Xzibit comes as good as ever on the mic, nothing at all wrong with his performance. I think some of the production and hooks was a let down for me but i felt the same about slaughter house now i love the album so...

I think that the album started pretty decent but then went a bit "meh" but then at the end  :o
"meaning of life" and "louis XIII" both really good but then "enjoy the night" not as good but i like the hook cos i always get fucked up and "movies" pretty darn dope but "i came to kill" & "killers remorse" were what had me like  :o 8) :o best songs on the album for me!
The "1983(or 5)" remix is really good too.
Slim the mobster and Bishop both sounded really good on this album. Waste of talent with their deals falling through.

Can anyone shed some light on 1983 lol?   What happened with him and Eminem?  Also why that year?  Says it his "journey begins" but ...

15. Movie Ft. Crooked I, Slim Da Mobster & Game (Prod. By Akon)

Don't know what's more surprising about this track. The fact that Akon produced it or that I could understand what Slim Da Mobster was saying for once.

Never really been a huge Xzibit fan, but I loved this album.  The 3 tracks toward the end are the best: Movies, I Came To Kill, & Killer's Remorse.  Love those songs.  I would only take 3 songs off the album.  Gangsta Gangsta is straight annoying to me, worst song on the album.  Spread It Out and Enjoy The Night are ok, but could've been left off the album.  And I like the remix of 1983 better then the original.  8.5/10

I see that everyone with a good ear for music appreciate this album, Akon made a great beat, Rick Rock joints are banging, nice Dre production, Xzibit like in his prime...guests delivered great rhymes. Im enjoying this album every fucking day, thank u MR X for staying true to westcoast sound. I wouldnt mind Gotta Get Em ft Kobe on the album as well as Phenom.

Purchased the deluxe edition on Itunes and WOW, I am impressed. Like I said about Cube 6 years ago when he made a "comeback", I do not want to wait another 6 years before X drops another album.
