More thoughts on the War and media manipulation
« on: November 17, 2001, 03:36:10 PM »
It is obvious America media is full of shit.  And think o Bin Laden's people are less than human.

Here is a perfect example of the media I am forced to listen to and frustrated with.

Report comes in..  (paraphrased)
Bin Laden says:  "Everytime America kills people in Iraq (I think it was Iraq not sure) or Palestine, we will kill some of their people.  The only thing president Bush understands is military action. We've tried in the past to be civil"

This opens my mind to questions such as:
What's this about America killing his people?
When did we do this?
Why did we do this?

Instead of answering those questions the TV Host asks his esteemed coleagues.....
"Do you think these is a threat on Bin Laden's part, or a sign that he is beggining to fear for his life?"

Completely avoiding everything he said, and basically saying...
"Do you think he's a crazy bastard because I sure do, how long before we kill this muthafucka"

That's no excuse for depraving the public of the TRUTH. As a person who doesn't support what's going on, i have been majorly pissed since Sept. 11th. The media is slowly brainwashing us into being ignorant dipshits. And the governement is even doin the same shit to Afghanistan.

We're not sending food to Afghan civilians cuz we care about them, we're sending it to get them on our side. When bin Laden is done with, we will let them go back to starving.

You can't get mad at the government tho. They are just keeping some things from going mainstream for Americas best interest. I don't believe they are hiding it tho because there are always ways to find out whats really happening if we go out and search for the true answers. You don't think they are doing that in Afghanistan?

we should just nuke every1 untill where all dead,  take tha easy way out,  but seriously though,  every country's media does tha same thing,  they brainwash tha people an dont tell them tha whole story,  one thing that pisses me off is how they mis lead us into believing that all those arababic country's hate america's guts,  when in actuallity its a very small portion of tha region of tha world that have tha same hate for america that bin laden an others wit tha same mind set as him do.  Tha thing is much of tha american public would rather not see tha whole story,  much of america is naive (sp).  They dont care much about tha facts an quite frankly aint to informed on what they show us on TV either

Man this shit is tired. I'm just sick of people telling me what to think on this. I don't give a fuck what the press, or anyone in this forum say. Just form your opinion, and don't try and prove that one party is right, or one is wrong. The truth of the whole damn matter is that both the US, and the Taliban have some fucking issues. I love my country (US), but I don't 100% support everything it does. At the same time, ANY group/coutry that supports terrorism is fucking wrong. What the hell has you so against the states anyways Infinite? I take it you might be Muslim? Just curious as to why you always try to exploit the US's stupidity.... but to who? A bunch of teenagers who can't do a god damn thing to change it. Tired ass shit.

America supported terrorism.  America at one time provided money, weapons and support for Bin Laden's terrorist organizations.  And yes Islam is my religion of choice.

But overall, I really appreciated the reply's.  It's good to see that there are some good, reasonable, open minded people out there.  peace.

Okay, let's assume the Taliban/Osama got what they wanted in the short term-US withdrawal from the Middle East, and US support to Israel cut off.

Israel is then invaded, and destroyed. No Jewish National Home, eh?

Fundamentalist governments continue to exist, burqas are forced on women all over the Middle East, Christians in Lebanon, like as not, are executed, banished, etc.

Heroin provided by Al Qaeda-owned poppy fields, shipped by Al Qaeda-owned smugglers, etc...Continues to flow into the world economy. You realize the majority of Al Qaeda's heroin goes into the veins of fellow Muslims? Think about that. That comes direct from Mohammed Lemal, a member of Al Qaeda.

Then, Osama gets onto his stated long-term aim, after the now fundamentalist and heroin-addicted Middle East is under heel. I'd assume he'd get revenge on Saudi Arabia and Pakistan by replacing their governments first, of course, but after that:

Worldwide forced Islamisation of EVERYONE.

Planes keep crashing into buildings, governments continue to be overthrown and replaced with fundamentalist ones. It's like the Jannisaries of the Ottoman Empire, but on a larger scale.

Turkey and Egypt would, like as not, have their governments replaced; North Africa, a terrorist hotbed, would likely rise in support of Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Osama Bin Laden grew up in Europe, enjoying the European joys of prostitution, alcohol, etc. Now he pretends to have always been a pure Muslim, and punishes those who go against his edicts. Yeah, like he doesn't still sample those same joys. ::)

Mullah Omar is a hypocritical, treacherous snake. He assisted the Soviet invasion, then turned coat, and was originally a supporter of the Tajik/Uzbek government that existed till '96. He was one of the key factors in it's downfall. Now he preaches hatred of all white people and Christians, and Jews.

Infinite, you my homie, but in answer to "The US sponsored terrorism": So, you'd rather the world was dominated by a bunch of vodka-drinking "Communist"(bah, after Lenin they were all fakes till Gorbochov)dictators, who sent you to the Gulag Archipalageo for speaking out against anything? As religion was banned, the Party being the only deity, you, Infinite, would like as not be imprisoned. It's the lesser of the two evils, thanks, and I choose capitalism, however socialist I am.

This also applies to the NA/Taliban question: As least under the NA and the former((Pashtun))Shah, you can play music, shave, not HAVE to wear a Burqa(on pain of death), etc. I choose the NA and the former Shah, thanks, over a bunch of hypcritical, drugs-endorsing, mass mudering psychopaths.

Yo Infinite, I'm not tryin to start shit with you. I can tell that you for the most part are an rational thinker. I actually agree with some of the stuff you've said about all this. I just get tired of seeing "how stupid" America is. If this all distresses you that much, then do what most religious people do, and pray. That is what I do every night. I'm Christian, not Muslim, but I pray that this situation clear itself up with as little death as possible. I pray that the innocent people are taken care of, and I pray that the officials of the Taliban, AND the US Government make the right decisions. Don't you live in America? I saw you saying something about not going to the draft, so I assume you live here? No one says you have to support America's decision, but if all you are gonna do is criticize our nation, then live somewhere else.

It's like this patna.  Politicians have never done anything for me.  People that I've loved and respected throughout history have all caught shit from our government, num sayin.... Look at all the freedom fighters throughout history.  How come they never taught me about people like Malcolm X and Nat Turner in school?  How come we never read the literature of Eldridge Cleaver or James Baldwin?  And how come the government is always coming down so hard on hip-hop music, something they know nothing about?  So very rarely am I going to speak positively about our government.  They are running this country for soccer moms and big corporations, they've never tried to do anything to help me.  One of my motivations for going back to school, is to try to gain intelligence so I can try to tear down these poloticians I don't like every chance I get.  I'm not conforming.  Peace.

i don't know where you grew up or when but i learned about those people in social studies in 5th-8th grade.

but what you should do instead of trying to "Tear Down Yourself" (we're run by the people so your basically tearing down yourself) why don't you find a political party or create a political party that agrees with your points instead , like pac' said he was going to do....America has 20384023840 different political parties, the republicans and democrats are the most dominate becase their political beliefs are the most common, just study up and support one the fits you, if you wanna better this country then do it in a possitive wa not a implosive way....

....and about america supporting Bin Ladin (which was MANY fucking moons ago) that was during a time when the soviet union was our biggest worry in the world so we were trying to help anyone who had problems with them....plus bin laden wasn't even known as the "big bad terrorist" yet, him and his army was kinda like the northern alliance is to america now

and as far as the media brainwashing peeps...i don't know about that, yeah they're biast to their own country but if you actually sit down and watch every news station (i.e)

cnbc
msnbc
fox news channle
cnn
ect.

they ALLL have different views and fox news even shows the afgan perspective , you can even watch the internation channle which is reporting from china or japan with news and is saying alot of the same shit

and what REALLY bugs me about peeps here is how they say that the media is trying to hide america's mistakes...god this frstrates the fuck out of me....they report every they report anywhere else...it's just no one gave a fuck about the news really  and all the issues of the world until september 11th....it was reported (like all that shit in Bosnia and Iraq) all that shit that all you foreign people think our own news doesn't report.....its just that the majority of america's civian population (as sad as this is) don't give a fuck about what's going on in other parts of the world. we were getting the news , american messups and all but we really didn't care and would rather hear about what last night's game scores were or what their stock is doing or what's going on in general in america or their own state or town....ya know what i'm saying?

my suggestion to you is watch the O'riley Factor...on the fox news channle, he tells it how it  IS

LOL @ This Whole Topic.

I Think People Should Worry About Themselves, And The Problems They Have, Before They Get All Pissed off And Blame The Media, Ya Know? Personally, I Think It Would Be Hard For The Media To Brainwash Me, Because I'm More Intelligent Than That.  They Say Things I Agree With, ANd They Say Things I Do'nt Agree With, I Make Up My Own Mind.  Do You Expect The Media To Not Put Their Agenda Over? How, When That's Basic Human Nature?

I Don't See You Complaining That Bin Ladin Accused "Al-gore" Of The Attacks; Why Not?  He Did, Shouldn't You Be Pissed At That False Accusation, Or Did You Actually Believe It When You Heard It?

I Think SOME People Are Brainwashed By Extremists Into Automatically Doubting Anything Authoritarian.  Some Of Yall Would Go Celibate If Bush Told You Not To...

In The End: Make Up Your Own Mind.  Don't Be So Critical, But Of Course Don't Blindly Accept Everything The Media  Tells You.

Because To Some People, Malcom X Was As Far Out As Manson Was;... What I Mean Is They Don't Teach Extremist Views In School And Malcolm X Unfortunately Was Labeled That By Many Americans.

And Why Won't You Conform? What Is Wrong With That?  You Shouldn't Just Blindly Reject Authority, That in Itself Is Conforming.

LOL @ This Whole Topic.

I Think People Should Worry About Themselves, And The Problems They Have, Before They Get All Pissed off And Blame The Media, Ya Know?

I'm always looking at the macrocosm, the big picture.  Just worrying about yourself is the path to ignorance.
