Electric Circus Appreciation thread

I love The Hustle & Star 69. The beats are just brilliant. Even if peeps call Lonnie a gaylord nowadays, IMO this album is even better than One Day It'll All Make Sense and Resurrection.

Hell yeah it's tight, not your regular hip-hop album, the production is really innovative and different, but that's just what makes the album so great IMO...

My fav. track is "Soul Power", that song is amazing...

Like T.K. said, I would also place this album up with the best of 2002, along with Scarface's "The Fix" and Nas' "God's Son".

It's a pretty tight and innovative album. Not a classic, but still a dope and pretty unique release

I didn't appreciate it.
A few cuts was dope, but he tried too hard to be innovative, and ended up in between nowhere & everything.

Not in the same league as Resurrection or LWFC, but still a good album. I'm a huge common fan but I was dissapointed with the beats on here, I think ?uestlove did most of the production and a majority of it was a little weak. This albums a new side to Commom, but on some songs he was back to his original self while on others you had to check the credits just to make sure it was still Com.
Recommended but nothing compared to LWFC or Resurrection.

Exactly, Common is a mere shadow of his former self period! Erika Badu got the clamps on that nigga big time!!
