Austin/Rock on Raw
« on: November 13, 2001, 06:55:48 AM »
Did any of yall catch the last 20 minutes of Raw on Monday?  It was hilarious--Austin/Rock did a 20 minute sketch basically and they sang songs like "Margaritaville" and the crowd was chanting "WHAT" after every sentence Austin said.  Real funny stuff.

Well for what its worth the Austin/Rock skit was one of the highest rating segments on WWF TV in a LONG time.  And I, for one, thought it was classic material--as did the crowd obviously.

what's going to happen at survivor series...i haven't been watching much wrestling lately besides last night...either the alliance or wwf dies(how does that happen) like what has to happen for that to become reality?

Ok..heres the deal..

Austin/Angle/Booker T/RVD/Shane VS Rock/Jericho/Taker/Kane/Big Show

Vince has promised that a member from the Alliance will join the WWF that night.

The Rock/Austin promo was the best promo the WWF has done in ages.

Thats the kind of shit I miss. If your gonna do a long promo at least make it entertaining.

I cant say enough good things about the Austin/Rock skit--youre right-it was just plain FUN.  And I think theres a reason why they put it at the end of the show and put some much time into it.  The WWF wants to show the fans that they want to improve their product and make it fun again for them.  That also is why they had the Mick Foley worked shoot interview.

Anyways-As far as Survivor Series goes , don't expect a clean "WWF wins, WCW is over" storyline that they are advertising.  If WWF wins, I'd expect the WCW to come back NWO style (maybe without the name) with some extra members like Hall, Nash, Steiner, Flair, Bischoff, and whoever else.  However, I think the best approach may be to have WCW/Alliance win and really shake things up in the professional wrestling scene.
