I don't understand why people get so offended and upset by things like this. Read the disclaimer at the bottom of the chart - it's just a poll for fuck's sake! Anyone would think that by putting Nas and Jay there Hot 97 had spat in your faces personally and dissed your mothers. Chill.

Fact is, if Nas and Jay continue to put out records at the rate they are, then in 10 years time when a new generation is looing back at this 'old school', they will both be viewed on the same level as Pac and Big. That might not get me much support, but it's probably the truth whether or not you want to admit it. Once a generation comes along that wasn't lucky enough to listen to Pac and Big when they were alive, they will naturally lose some of their significance.

And, God forbid, if Nas or Jay were killed, I PROMISE you future rap fans would refer to them as legends. That's how music works...

Big, Pac, Jigga & Nas all have very strong catalogs, and they have all been important to rap..
The scores isn't that surprising neither, seeing as everybody is considering Pac the Goat, and Nas & Jigga is the 2 biggest in N.Y. now that Biggie is dead..

i kinda agree with you but i guess i was fortunate enough to be alive and bump biggie and pac when they were at there prime and in no way does jay or nas step to them.....its just a whole new era....but IMO thats some crazy shit that people like nas and jay more than big.....but i know its not scientific and all that shit but its just weird i didnt think i would see that
