Rapper Keith Murray was involved in a major car accident early Thursday morning in Durham, North Carolina.

The luxury van carrying Murray, his entourage and his group, Legions of Doom, hit a highway railing, flipped over twice and slammed into six cars that were already piled up from a separate crash. What caused the driver to lose control of the van is not yet clear.

There were no serious injuries, but, according to Murray's reps, the MC and everyone else in the van were taken to a hospital and will undergo further tests.

After appearing on MTV's "Direct Effect" Wednesday afternoon, Murray and company hit the road and had been driving all night to North Carolina to promote his upcoming album, He's Keith Murray, due out on April 22.

Last week, Murray and his wife celebrated the birth of their daughter, Darlene.
