LBC Crew - Haven't You Heard
Kendrick Lamar - Section.80
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid Maaad City

Those are the first three that came to my mind right away, "Section.80" was a "mixtape" though.

Kinda hard since I can't remember everything I've listened to since 2008, but right now I guess my list would look like this.

*Araabmuzik - Electronic Dream Deluxe Version (technically it's not rap since it's just a bunch of Araab's instrumentals, but it's dope as fuck so I don't care)
*Drake - Thank Me Later (laugh at me if you must, but when this came out I had it on repeat for quite a while)
*J. Cole - The Warm Up (J. Cole at his finest and hungriest, best of all it was free)

Honorable mentions go to Clyde Carson's Bass Rock EP, Ya Boy's Kush 2009, New Boyz's Too Cool To Care, Blaq Poet's Tha Blaqprint, Saigon's Greatest Story Never Told and Stoupe's Decalogue.

Let the cream rise to the top (no tanner)

There must be a few at the top of your list, it's not that hard a question ;)

Very difficult to remember all the albums from the last 5 years... BUT, I do remember these highlights out of the top of my head:

Beastie Boys - Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 (2011)
Capone-N-Noreaga - The War Report Part 2 (2010)
EPMD - We Mean Business (2008)
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2 (2009)

Not a lot of Westcoast... Although I like Kendrick Lamar (I need to further check GKMC) & the new Xzibit!

By the way: I'm not counting old albums which I have (re)discovered over the past years. From time to time, it happens that you finally check out an album you have been sleeping on... And than you're like 'Ow shit, this is crazy'! 1 that comes to mind was Ice-T with Home Invasion (1991)
