Former NFL Player Joe Andruzzi Saved a Victim From the Explosions of the Boston Marathon

Joe Andruzzi spent nine seasons in the NFL as an offensive lineman who protected the quarterback from defensive players. Six years removed from playing in the league, Andruzzi still has that mentality ingrained in his being. Following the two explosions at the Boston Marathon, Andruzzi, who was at this afternoon's event in support of the team representing his foundation which raises funds to assist cancer patients and research, sprung into action without hesitation, carrying an injured woman to safety.

It was a heroic act that probably would've gone unnoticed if it weren't for the CNN gallery that posted the above picture and the Twitter follower that saw Andruzzi in the shot. Of course, Andruzzi, being the brother of three New York City firemen who responded after the 9/11 attacks, probably doesn't care about notoriety and we greatly admire him for that.
