Most Disappointing Album
« on: March 08, 2003, 11:40:59 PM »
I know everyone has been talking about the greatest albums, but i'm goin' to flip the script and talk about the most disappointing albums. Hopefully EM28 don't start up another thread like this one. LOL! My opinion has to be from the East- (DMX)Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of My Blood, the reason because the first album was so dope. West- (Kurupt)Kuruption, the reason because he sounded so dope on Dogg Food. South- Almost every album disappoint me from there.
Nah, maybe it's the bitches and the sunshine
Fool, it's the palm trees, cool breeze and one-time
This the home of ragtops and swimsuits
We wear Chuck Taylors, nigga, we don't fuck with Timb boots!

For me,  Canibus' C-True Hollywood Stories.  Not because I thought I would be a classic or anything but, 2000 B.C. was a dope album and I thought that would be good but what I got was one of the worst albums ever created.

No joke.  It's horrible.

Most dissapointing lp's ImO:

WEST: Eazy-E "Impact of a legend e.p"
I've been an Eazy fan since the jump....and I have all of his shit, and granted I was happy as fuck that peep's are continuing his legacy n' shit. But this cd although it has a couple of notables, should have been saved or kept in it's original format, instead of throwing peep's in it to gain a name for the label.

EAST: N.O.R.E. "...God's favorite"
Noreaga has alway's been a favorite of mine, but when I got this cd on drop day I just plain felt like I got robbed or something. I can't really explain why, but I just felt like N.O.R.E. could have come better than this. Plus to much Neptunes = overblown.

SOUTH: The Geto boys "Da good Da bad & Da ugly"
Besides "Gangsta (put me down)" this entire lp is straight Garbage......the worst music ever put down.
And I'm a huge Face & Geto boys fan, but this lp was staright ass. I snapped that bitch in half that same day. REAL SHIT!!

Those came to mind real quick...

There's a lot of them, too many to name. A recent example is Fabolous' "Street Dreams". Straight wack!

It gots to be : Paid the Cost to be the boss for me...

Not because he can't drop a dope album without Death Row (No Limit Top Dogg, Last Meal, + Eastsidaz) but simply because I didnt feel it

2pac all eyez on me-everyone talks about classic or whatever but i thin it's a horrible album

eminem the eminem show - same deal

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
