Yeah the piano sounded much more hard hitting on the L.A.X. interlude.

nope unfortunately not, it's only on the skit > http://www.sendspace.com/file/b3mywz

maybe 'ass' isn't so dark, but it's got a cold kinda sound to it, mostly that effect in the hook...

I think Blaaw from that album has that dark sound to it.

on the dark vibe:

papoose - drop it

crazy beat but completely ruined by papoose's vocals. expected eminem to be rapping over a lot of beats like this on the 'dark' relapse album.

Both songs are great and got that "cold" feeling to them.

i don't think Eminem & Dre had the intentions to make another dark album and even if they had, they wouldn't have had the guts to pull it off ;)

^ i always thought it was a shame Busta never used that beat on The Big Bang. Supposedly Dre had given it to Busta but Busta decided to give it to Pap who was part of Flipmode at the time. Pap was still spitting heat and the time but he sounded awkward over the beat whereas Busta fit perfectly.

Nice thread!!!

The original version of Kurupt's Ho's A Housewife (Feat. Paul & Fuss - from the 1998 Kuruption double album) is credited as being produced by Kurupt himself.

Should this be a footnote that the later version was Dre's reworking? :)

The songs have nothing in common except for their titles

They are in common at least that Kurupt's verses and the hook are the same.

No Hittman and Dre on the original version of course :)

The first verse on the "Kuruption" version is almost same as Kurupt's verse on the version that was released on "2001"/"Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha", the hook is the same on both versions. It's kinda odd that Kurupt re-used them on the version that was released in 1999.

These songs are supposed to be produced by Dr. Dre, i think we will have the confirmation soon.

Raekwon
Catalina (feat. Busta Rhymes)
Nigga Me

Both are supposed to be from Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt.2"
