I thought the same thing, in fact I think there's a couple of others in the Curtis snippets that sound like they could be Dre beats. Then again the same can be said for a lot of beats these days.

I remember back in the days, when there was no confusing a Dre beat.

Now most of the beats on Curtis sound like half-assed Dre productions

Hope Fire isnt Dre. Man Down I would be happy with. Come & Go iis ok, nothing special, needed something extra. Im guessing though that these beats will be more like skeletons for the Detox tracks and there will be a whole lot of other stuff on top of them, like sound effects and the beat switching up and changing pace.

On Come & Go 50 says "It's 50 Cent and Dr. Dre bitch" during every refrain.

Dre is featured on track. I cant clearly make out if its dre's voice, but I think he is saying 'kick em out, you aint 50 we aint spekin'". But I could be wrong, cuz it still sounds like 50.
But was confirmed that Dre produced the beat before, and it definately sounds like a dre beat.

i think to this day, even the artists themselves can't define what 'producing' 'beatmaking' 'mixing' 'working the boards' 'contributing' 'running the studio session' 'coordinating the musicians' entails and is technically defined as.

I don't see this problem with rock artists, just rap ones. I bet the Roots don't have this problem. Outside of DJ scratching (which most hip-hop cats don't even DO anymore in the mainstream) I think it may be time to throw out these dumbass machines and make real music. There's no denying who played the guitar where and who wrote what bass lick you know?

yeah i don't understand it fully myself but TTK takes a certain joy in letting us know something's not Dre produced. we all have our fetishes, i'm not hating.
