Matty

loads of threads for his recent stuff but the album has dropped dropped now and with some bonus.

1 Problematization
2 Back Seat Lover
3 The Innocent
4 Allie Jones
5 The Only One
6 Wine Glass Woman
7 Her Favorite Song
8 Ay Bass Player
9 Crime (with Kendrick Lamar)
10 Reach Out Richard
11 Corsican Rosé
12 Where Does This Door Go
13 Robot Love
14 The Stars Are Ours
15 All Better
1 They Don’t Know You (Bonus Track)
2 Fool (Bonus Track)
3 Kaila (Bonus Track)
4 Small Clone (Bonus Track)
5 Designer Drug (Bonus Track)

this and the daft punk are some classic releases for 2013. a bit more of an upbeat flavour than his past LPs, but the production is impeccable and just great music. forget about the robin thickes and justin timberlakes trying to jump on the soul train, mayer been doing it longer and better. old school groove, that's whats up.

Just want to share that crazy tought. Just imagine this album was produced by Dr Dre, but he didn't want anyone of us to know. Let's just pretend. He would be laughing straight in our face, we all think he is someone that always takes credit for other peoples work. Just pretend he is the opposite. It would be crazy man. I'm not saying every song sounds produced by him on that album, but if ''Crime (feat. Kendrick Lamar) isn't produced by Dr Dre, I don't really care because it's really just like he produced the track. The beat just sounds like a Dre Beat, from start to finish.

i feel you but nah, he's always had a fantastic ear for production, dude knows all about making records sound right. though this is the first one with a host of other producers, his influence remains strong. no conspiracy theories, there's a track by track breakdown on youtube talking about the making of every song too.

Yeah I know I was just talkin' shit, it's just so fresh to hear a completely new guy that got such a good ear, it's unexpected. His music sounds so mature. And, you know, it's funny that he says with a little smile that this record is his ''Fuck the police'' hahah ok I stop it right there I'm just kidding

this album is very Pharrell influenced

The way I see it, he really took influences from the best hip hop producers to really push his sound to another level. Not saying he is better than Pharell or Dr Dre (in my opinion it could be better on a mixing level, and his voice can get annoying after a while on some songs), but I'm sure he knows what he's doing. I just like his vision.

Jsut downloaded that Tuxedo EP, shit is  8)
