Thanks for the thought, but I'm at peace with burning in hell. being an Atheist.*still eating*
Headed to Chicago to spend the last 10 days of Ramadaan there in tabligh. Some of the Muslims here my be familiar with Jammat Tabligh dawah effort, I've mentioned it on here several times. Its pretty cool, because you just pay like 28 dollars for a greyhound ticket to chicago, and then I'll be asigned a group, and travel around chicago with that group for 10 days staying in one mosque for 3 days, then another for 3 days, till the 10 days is up. We all split food and gas and I may spend less then 100 dollars for the whole trip. Our effort is to establish certain ettiquettes of the mosque that are often overlooked, and go out in the community and invite (dawah) other Muslims to join in those acts of worship, learning and teaching, lectures, talks, etc. In the mosque. Its sort of like missionary work only we don't try to convert anyone to Islam just work on ourselves and other Muslims so that we can be better Muslims.

It doesn't sound like u were kicked out, you said you bounced and went back to the greyhound. So did u have a blowup on the dude and in your rage storm off or what?

So did u have a blowup on the dude and in your rage storm off or what?No.. I'm saying that now I am likely to be kicked out. "Kicked out" was actually exaggerating. Because like you said, I just bounced and went back on a greyhound. But I didn't talk to anyone before I left, I just bounced while everyone was sleeping. And no, there were no blowups. Partly why I just bounced like that was to avoid a blowup. Cause I was so pissed at the time I was about to go in on one of those kids or something. What had to be shocking for them is that everyone thought everything was okay with me, and I'd just given a big lecture that morning encouraging more people at that location to join, etc. It may have been the best lecture I've ever given. Next thing they know, I'm long gone...This likely means I will be ostracized from the Jammat Tabligh movement.
The Amir should have taken into account your situation. And if he didn't, you could have reminded him. That you had a long journey and have insomnia. It would be decent 2 give them a call and explain your frustation.but then again it is your own decision.
Lol you're not ostracized or kicked out, you quit doggy. And without letting them know. It's on you not them.
