...because of a lot of thangs, because of artists themselves, or sometimes Dr Dre, Suge Knight, Norris Anderson, Interscope... But, from all the Death Row catalog, the best was released minus (perhaps) one Tha Row album.
The spot got shook, it was hell below | Is that Futureshock ?? | Hell, no, it's Death Row !

Some albums on that list re only fantasy products, some re not even finished and some were too wack for a mainstream success (ya know suge always wanted to go platinum).
Then you have problems with contracts, publishing rights, samples, features aso aso. But the main reason is that suges a dumbfuck.

Between these, it's about right. Overall, most albums that did leak were not that great. They might have went gold if released when they were made, but non that I've heard had that WOW factor. Just that at the time, Death Row was so hot that they could have just gone gold or platinum off being a Death Row record and the buzz of being on Above the Rim and/or Murder was the Case. Still, Death Row was into release quality, not quantity. It's why Death Row is still talked about over a label like No Limit.

No Limit? Is that the label that put out albums every month?

The quality was good when they were putting out an album every year. 92 was Chronic, 1993 Doggystlye, 94 was the soundtracks, 95 DPG, 96 2Pac. But we see in that year they had around 4 albums out, and 3 the following years. Quality over quantity was always better.

Dogg Pounds West Coast Aftershock, Crooked I's Untouchable and Danny Boy's albums were the only ones of potential IMO

Exactly. I mean, if they released OFTB, or Hammer's album, they'd be borderline No Limit. But they didn't and this adds even more to Death Row's mystic.

The MC Hammer album wasn't too bad. If you're talking about the double album. Picking the best from both, would have produced a better image of it.

Danny Boy should have dropped in between All Eyez on Me & Makaveli. (he was on 2 2Pac singles, and smooth R&B was hot then)

Doggfather should never have been released (it could never live up to Doggystyle and would always be classed as inferior). I would have rather seen a "DPG" compilation with 2 discs containing the best material from Doggfather, West Coast Aftershock and Nate Dogg's G Funk Classics vol.1 even in replacement of Death Row greatest hits that came out around that time. They had 4 active stars on the roster (Daz, Kurupt, Nate & Snoop) they could have utilized 'collectively' to try and rebuild the label after Dre's departure and 2Pac's death rather than the dilution we got. What we got for the first time on Death Row was a "good", but not "classic" album from Snoop, recycled beats and tracks from West Coast Aftershock on the GH album, and other projects (and songs) that would have never seen the light of day released afterwards.

Untouchable could have gone gold. Nonetheless, this will leak later this year

Hammer was okay, I might have only released it to just have a Hammer album out.

Danny Boy's album, I forgot about that one. That was a great album. I am so glad that was leak.

You might have been right about a DPC album. That would have been hot. Death Row also should have released G Funk Classics in 1995 when Never Leave Me Alone dropped. I had that single and was waiting for that album.

The Snoop album, I've heard lots of other great Snoop tracks that were unreleased from that era. I think Doggfather had it's fans. It wasn't classic, but judging by Snoops later career, Snoop had a lot left in 1996. But that was a very dark time when that album was released.

You guys are forgetting the LBC CREW's Havent You Heard album... Was supposed to be a Death Row / Doggystyle Records venture... That album finally got an official release a few years back by Wide Awake, had it dropped in 96 it would have been big!

What's about Sam Sneed, N.I.N.A., Eastwood, Outlawz, Tha Realest? DR could drop so many things.
