Look up medicre in the dictionary if you're struggling with the complexity of my system

mediocre is used to describe stuff of low quality/unremarkable... unlike the word "average", mediocre is typically used as a slight.

an example from webster "The critics dismissed him as a mediocre actor."

point bein, if u look at a grading scale, 50% is a fail, and theres nothing average about failing.

50%=F
60%=D
70%=C
80%=B
90%=A
100%=A+

it's no different in music as it would be in grading test scores.

it should be simple 1 to 5

1 being dr dres chronic 5 being concrete roots

I use a 10 point system with a half score

The traditional 5 point score doesn't reflect the nuances of one album to another

Dogg Food would be a 3, and so would be Blue Carpet Treatment, yet they're not in the same league etc etc

meaning ur a complete retard when it comes to this grading shit

why would "blue carpet treatment" be a 9.5? it's not a classic or anywhere near a classic for that matter..

but "dogg food" is...it's a top 5 album in west coast hip-hop history, and u seriously dont belong here if u dont appreciate it as a classic. realest spit ever spat

almost...mediocre is used in a harsher sense than average. mediocre is often used as an antonym for good....with average, it's rarely used as an antonym for good, but more so as a middle-ground, or a combined mean. mediocre has more of a negative connotation.

either way, that dont even matter, considerin a 5/10 is still a fail, by any grading scale.

i did...i even used a quote from websters. i know it's hard, but try to follow, hack.

mediocre antonyms-
excellent, fine, first-class, first-rate, good, high-grade, superior, top-notch

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mediocre

average antonyms-
abnormal, exceptional, extraordinary, odd, out-of-the-way, strange, unusual
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/average

see the difference?
