The difference is, I wasn't buying mine to wander around acting like some wannabe rapper, nor to go around on some public power trip with some oversized chain hanging from my neck. I've never been into dressing like a wannabe rapper even during my peak listening tenure. I listen mainly to house, soul and jazz, but I don't go around dressed in tuxeodos. Not everyone has to dress up like the steretypical genre they listen to, and if they do, then they have serious problems.

i wont even lie, i got pics of me in iced crosses and jesus pieces and rolexes etc. flossing a lil bit...mostly in my younger days.


my jeweler was dope i could draw anything and he could recreate it and make it so i could later add the ice to it as i paid dues and broke bread thats exactly what i did.


i kept my rolies and my necklaces but would eventually go on to sell the gaudy charms when gold was poppin like a motherfucker a lil bit ago. got my dough back plus and got to keep the 36inch links.

i bought my diamonds from a jeweler in one state and took them to my guy to have them put in. (cheaper that way for the same quality of stone) it felt wierd walking around with a lil pouch of diamonds for a few days. these days youd probably catch me in my crown (beads) before youd see me in too much jewery i still rock my rolies on the weekends though. used to have a jewery fetish. iced out lion head rings and shit.

I didn't hate on his antics cuz he was entertaining as hell back in the Death Row beef days, he does have more classic work under his belt than Gucci probably ever will but Gucci probably dropped more songs in the last 3 years than Daz did his whole career... Guwop got more hustle, but then again he probably soaked up game from dudes like Daz, JT The Bigga Figga, Master P, E-40, etc. for business

I did try it on before it got fixed onto the wall frame. No pictures of me wearing it but there are a lot worse pictures out there, even worse than a hip hop chain wearing selfie. In fact, one had made it onto the Mr Makaveli forums back in the day with no t-shirt on doing a flex and is one of the gayest pictures out without a doubt.

But now, it's in the same place as my bullion bars. Like you said, you got your dough back+. So it isn't a waste if it's bought with the right intentions, or even the wrong ones at first. non renewable metals like gold and silver will keep increasing in value. I've paid more for a car (12K) in the past, and out the 2, the pendant is probably twice what the car was when I bought it new. The car is currently worth an average of 3K now and it was a wake up call on what and how to 'invest' money.

Can't complain with a watch, it has a functional use. Don't have no rolex, just a basic Tag heuer with black face but a watch can last a lifetime and doesn't tend to be discarded like other more short-lived items that are temporarily fashionable. Clothes I can relate to
