I don't consider there to be any real filler tracks on there, but do I think of it as a classic? Probably not.Just a lil better and we'd be talking bout it being a classic of those times thoA mini-masterpiece, if you will.

T.I.M.E. was decent at bestWhat do you rate it Will?

The Leaders of the New School albums were the closest to him having a classic album.
he's been around for almost 25 years, hung around the best of the best of em and yet all his projects have tons of filler on themi think in the late 90's when he dropping hits like Gimmie Some Mo and Dangerous that he could have easily dropped a 5 star album if he tried harder
i think his first five were all very good and consistent...sometimes his shit would be a lil too ambitious. (ozzy collabos, the janet and mariaha songs)but those albums were far from duds...im not sure if id rather have one classic then a bunch of so so stuff like jeezy or nas or have a catalog of consistently good memorable music.
lol nas's catalogue is way more consistent than busta's, brobro
Quote from: NIKCC on September 18, 2013, 06:01:03 PMlol nas's catalogue is way more consistent than busta's, brobro sorry broseph but every other album he does gets critically panned.but on some personal preference shit im a fan. hes a great artist who just made a few wrong turns but a living legend none the less.i dont think nas has never had a single as big as put your hands where my eyes can see and illmatic didnt have any catchy shit like woo hah but busta was kind of a let down woo hah was like one of the most impactful songs of its decade and it led to a luke warm album and thats his career trend. banger singles and lackluster albums.

BUSTA'S CATALOGUE IS COOL N ALL, BUT IT'S NOWHERE CLOSE IN TERMS OF QUALITY. ONLY MEDIOCRE ALBUM NAS PUT OUT WAS "NASTRADAUMAS"....IN COMPARISON, BUSTA'S SHIT RANGES ANYWHERE FROM DOPE TO SUB-PAR, DEPENDING ON ALBUM.
Life is Good > Busta's catalogue
who do you think is wealthier of the two rappers? who do you think is still cashing royalty checks off the classic singles being used constantly in the media? dont get me wrong if i was on an island and i could only listen to one rappers catalog it would probably be nas (someone make that thread)im just drawing parrellels of rappers who didnt quite live up to expectations...if it were up to me id like to see a rapper of nas integrity in jayz position. i think the rap game would be in a better place for it.
