never understood why people hate on Jadakiss' discography
« on: September 17, 2013, 12:04:40 PM »
Jada comes correct 95% of the time on the tracks, always has a handful of great producers who come through, and the majority of the tracks (even with mad features) are just bangers in general

I'd rank his albums: Kiss Of Death (4/5) > Kiss Tha Game Goodbye (4/5) > The Last Kiss (3.5/5)

better than Fab's discography

**don't enter this thread comparing the mixtapes either, state why you like/don't like the albums**

First of all cuz he keeps putting kiss in the titles

His albums suck because he never stays true to himself. He should've just got it through his head that he's not a commercial rapper and stuck to making grimey NY street shit and catered to his target audience. But every album after his debut was full of different regional sounds, R&B hooks, and mainstream features that left his album sounding like bad compilations.

I can partially agree about the album titles

Kiss Of Death was solid though, only 2 songs that sounded like the West were "Time's Up" and "Shine" but those are still dope to this day

his last album he did have a handful of the more Southern soundings tracks but I still rocked with them minus that song he did with OJ

I agree with this. Jada has a ton of talent, but he's like Joe Budden. Like Crooked I. Like a lot of these Mixtape Rappers that are dying to appeal commercially. They think rapping over a Club beat will sell more records. But, that's not when they're at their best. Their best is straight spitting and nothing else.

It's funny that you bring up Fab. Fab is probably the only Mixtape rapper that actually makes crossover tracks and doesn't sound corny doing it.

Agreed, Fab still falls into the category of having trouble putting together a quality album though.

No doubt. Fab is a singles guy.

I'd take Budden over Jada. I'll give you Jada over Crooked.

Fab and Jada have the same problem with making albums. Although atleast Fab out out a really dope album in Street Dreams.

The more I think about it, Jada is only good for verses, Lox is perfect for him.

Somebody wake me up when Jada or Crook can match or top Mood Muzik 3 or 4...

Nobody doubts Jadakiss talent.  But he's certainly never realized his potential.  Probably the best work he ever did was the work he put in for the Puffy's No Way Out album back in 97.  That was a classic.

fuck Timberland.  Your either West Coast, or you are conscious, or you are grimey.  If you aren't either of those 3 things then you contributed to the downfall of hip-hop/R&B

Contradiction much?
