em has sold a lot of records that is true. all the awards and hit records don't mean shit to me anyone can have a hit and sell as many records as eminem sold wit the right machine behind them. it's about quality hip hop records, bodies of work that you can play from top to bottom and play years from now. eminem is a gimmick he disrespects his mother and pop stars for attention and y'all listen to him cause he's white and dre fucked wit him had he been black we wouldn't even be havin' this discussion. t.i. built his own career he didn't need a dr. dre to put him on although it would have helped and maybe he would have sold ten million copies like em or 50. musically tip has dropped albums and progressed whereas em dropped albums after the first three (which were dope) and became a caricature of himself. listen to the lyrics and really tell me u don' think these rhymes are hot -

i dont think people listen to eminem cuz he's white...if that was the case, we'd be talkin about mac miller and frank lee white on here, but eminem is appreciated for his great lyrical skill....i think u have a common misconception about him, he could be vietnamese for all i care, he would still be one of the (if not the) top lyricist to come out the midwest either way if he was spittin wit the same passion and skill as he is doin right now
