Not only is he the second greatest producer of all time but he is one of my top 10 favorite rappers of all-time.

LOL, we know!

These Days is fuckin dope. Daz made some dope beats in the 90s. If he made the beat for Let's Play House, then that has to be one of his best productions.

In reality, Dre did let's play house.. Daz gets my respect tho

You can't prove that. Just another assumption.
It's an educated assumption, but it's an accepted notion in west coast hiphop that Dre ghost produced a lot of Dogg food, and some of it is flat out obvious .. On the flipside, Daz did some coproduction on doggystyle that he was never credited for. But Dogg food clearly has its share of dre production

Nate Dogg and Daz - These Days . this is flyest west coast music  8)

shout out to Daz, Nate and The Stylistics .

produced by teddy riley, remixed by dj quik

also skandalaouz and i aint mad at cha - thats dj quik - even though i can imagine that daz played the piano chords first and quik made it a hit..

I think it as simple as it is what it is; Daz produced the beat (as the demo is different and sounds like Daz's production style from that time) and Quik mixed it to the album quality (put his own touch on it admittedly).
Basically, Daz + Quik BOTH have a right to say they made a classic. Should do more together.

as much as id like to agree...
"these days"-instrumental is the perfect example of how things went down.. daz didnt do anything on that track and is credited.
so why would i believe now its different with the other tracks?
even if it was..  he definately had ghost producers.. so how to determine which work is his, and which one isnt? i'd simply go for my ears.. and i really do hear when a track is daz production.. and he has some cool concept every now and then. but his musical horizon was never that wide and elaborated as a dj quik's one.. thats like ying and yang.
as far as the demo is concerned: i can believe that daz might have played the keys, and provided the drums.. other then that he just happend to record a funky bass and guitar player.. and recorded pac and nate.. ok, so he did produce it somehow..

thanks for pointing out to the demo - actually i never heard it before.
and its amazing what quik made out of that demo.. WOW :o

except that Daz is NOT credited as a producer for These Days, just as a feature.

In the gang related, g-funk classics vol.1(death row), vol.1&2 (breakaway/navarre) booklets, These Days is always listed as a Nate Dogg production.
