Thank you for the recommendations.
Never read anything by Curtis or Klein so will have a look and see if it attracts my curiosity.

Perhaps you would enjoy "None dare call it conspiracy" by Gary Allen. Even though it is a bit dated.

Since you mentioned escapism by television earlier:
"Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television" by Jerry Mander. I have mentioned this here earlier and it is a good read.

Or to completely switch subject:

"The Brothers Lionheart " by Astrid Lindgren (translated by Joan Tate).

.

Peace

I appreciate it : )

I haven't read either of the first 2 books mentioned but will definitely look into them since I have at least heard of them before as for that third book, I will take a look into that too as it looks intriguing.

So whilst I am sure most recognise how poisonous prolonged television is to the brain, what was the last programme that you intentionally watched?

I don't have an idiot box so I don't watch any programming deliberately.
We have a small movie theater with a projecto where I watch movies and documentaries and escape reality at times.
These days I am watching a live stream of the match Anand vs. Carlsen in the World Chess Championship in Chennai, hence why I am up at strange hours.
I guess that qualifies as a television program of sorts...without the traditional televison.
