A good story....for a novel.

But realistic... No.

The music industry is full of sharks.

They want to control the message, indeed.
But they will control it by taken over busineses.
And not letting other use "their" outlets. Distribution, radioplay, airplay.

yeah, you have cases with intimidation. But in the long run that will not work.
