You can't have the same beat with 2 different producers, unless one of them copied the other, or they both totally copied someone else.
Also, that wouldn't make you the producer, that would make you the copycat. (Or you could be named Irv Gotti)

Yeah it's dope...

The OG is

Cam'ron f/ Jay-Z & Juelz Santana - "Welcome To New York City"

PS, anyone know who produced this? Beat is top notch...PeACe

Just Blaze... LOL @ you claiming to have heard all his beats :-\

It has no samples BTW ;)

LMAO! of course there are samples in this song...and Just Blaze did NOT produce this...The one with Cam'ron and Jay-Z is not the same...PeaCe

The beat is the same, and that's what you asked for, I don't really see why you're trying to cover yourself up... whoever "produced" Obie's version just jacked Just Blaze's beat, and changed the voice sample from "Welcome To New York City" to "Welcome to Detroit". End of discussion...

Maybe you guys are not getting it or something...I THOUGHT THAT THE GUY WHO PRODUCED "WELCOME TO DETROIT CITY" USED THE SAME SAMPLE AS JUST BLAZE USED FOR "WELCOME TO NY CITY"!!!...Geez!

I didn't follow this whole stupid discussion but you can have the same beat with different producers.

"Let The Funk Flow" - EPMD produced by EPMD

is the exact same beat as

"Nastradamus" - Nas produced by L.E.S.

The producer does not create the instrumental he simply oversees the the song. Much a movie director oversees the movie. Spielberg does not write all the movies he directs, he puts them together. Much like Dr. Dre he almost never writes the music in his songs, he samlpes or pays a musician to write it for him. Too many people confuse the term Producer with Composer. If you want to know who composed the Welcome To Detroit/New York, then find out where the sample came from and read the credits, I my self am not sure who composed the melody/harmony but if I find out I'll post it  for you guys.

So Tragedy Khadafi made "Welcome to QB City" over the same beat as "Welcome to <insert city>"...
Gee, I wonder who produced that one..  ::)

So I guess the producer of this track "oversaw" Tragedy putting on the instrumental in the CD-deck.. what a magnificent performance..  :P
