symbolism is great, but why does the lamb have to be doin ballet unclothed?

In case you hadn't noticed the lamb is spelling out L-A-M-B with his body. Quite genius detail.
Would have been difficult to achieve that with clothes on.

I hate to tell people what to see but perhaps the composition needs some clarification since some are ignorant enough to call it gay and art pop (wtf is that?).

In the head there is a triangular shape pointing upwards to a black sphere above it. It is a symbol for masculinity/aggressiveness and the white color which is normally associated with purity takes the chinese role of the color representing grief at funerals. The strong black sphere is the higher soul being evil.
Together they symbolize aggressive murderous intent that inflicts grief and suffering.

In the lower part of the body there is a yellow geometric form.
Yellow represents caution and pervertion. To signify the perverted sexual nature of his lower self, underlined by a small black sphere on the left hand side (evil).
Violent psychopathic debauchery in effect.

The blue circle that holds the torso and the heart symbolize coldness.
The spirit is dead and have no empathy/sympathy left, underlining his psycho/sociopathic nature.

The large white triangle upside down represents the external world of his victims.
Again the white of grief and the triangle is feminine. The emotions and sufferings he deflicts.
Pointing to a red sphere signifying bloodshed and danger/fear as a foundation.
The purple/blue on the right means the path of calculated deception.

That's in short what my intentions with the composition was.
It is the best cover in this thread by far as it works on the sub-conscious mind in a subtle and clever way.
Unlike the other stuff that is just straightforward, unimaginative and quite dull.

.

Any of these covers wil sure catch your attention when you see them on a poster or on a cd-cover.
Whether they know of the group or not.

But Heinz, may I ask you about the symbols you use.
Do you know any good read that deals with symbols and the effects on the subconscious.
I know there are quite a few around.
But do you know any that has these conditions:

- One with a more scientific approach rather then conspiratory.
- Does not contain references to black magic (because symbols are often used.) For me that is forbidden knowledge.

Thank you Ghostdog.

It ain't like I don't cater to people with a proper budget.
Plenty of big name clients in my portfolio at my blog.
I just do the doodles here for sparetime amusement.

Aladin:

Not aware of one single book on the subject you are looking for. Usually it is spread out with other topics in more obscure litterature, not very scientific.
Jung, Steiner, Kandinsky all had interesting things to say about it.
Color studies are probably the more scientific studies that have been done compared to geometric shapes and symbols.

"Know magic, shun magic".

Thank you I will look them up.

"Know magic, shun magic". A beautiful phrase.
But I am afraid that when I read that, I will be seduced 2 practice some.
And with that blacken my soul.
So I prefer 2 stay away from it.
