Original 2Pac recordings
« on: March 19, 2003, 08:57:41 AM »
I remember before Until the end of Time came out, there was talk about releasing one final album like a box set called The Safe.  I would much rather see that happen.  Imagine a set of 4 or 5 CD's with over 100 UNreleased, UNedited, UNremixed original songs...

That wasn't news or fiction. That was merly an idea back in 99 after the release of greatest hits. They figured they'd take the rest of his deathrow material and place it in a 4 disc collection but they chose to do 2 double albums years apart instead with the songs.

Title Project name : The Vault

And I've already got information from somebody who knows his stuff and deals with music every day and he says it before that it costs way too much to release an original if it's sampled and 2pac samled a lot of unknown songs as well so thats paying for writers, producers, people who own the song, company of the artist and a profit of the song when and if it is released.

Write me a single artist who doesnt do it all to maximising the profits. That's business, man. Sad, but that's just business.

No the first title was -> The Vault because people first started talking about the deathrow vault after 2Pacs death. A lot of tracks got leaked from unsigned bums at deathrow who (like chocolate Bandit a/k/a Chris) never done a lot apart from listen to the masters masters, like dre, snoop, 2pac etc.

Clearing the vault was an extended name started by some loser at o2!!

This was never released because Afeni didnt want this release. I dont think she liked the idea of such a project eating a big chunk of his material he left us. This didnt even have Amaru backing (do we forget the interview back in 98, the first or second known interview with amaru ever!!!????)

Suge wanted to throw every 2Pac track he had (would have ovbiously kept about 20 for another albums worth) to put into the title.

Damn, that would have be amazing if they'd have released "the vault". Hope one of these days they would still consider it.
