Schoolboy Q the new 40 Glocc

What's up with you constantly hatin' on Q, Will?

I was just thinking who Q might be comparable to.

Past rapper with no real substance. Got a following due to who co-signed him.

Appeared to have some street rep...then fizzled out when the dust settled and people realised he was never that good.

Pure hate I know, but still my prediction :D

If you think Q's got no substance then you clearly aren't listening to the music b.

"Grandma said she loved me, I told her I loved her more
She always got me things that we couldn't afford
The new Js and Tommy Hill in my drawers
Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, see Golden Eye was away at war
We wasn't thinking of getting money then
Nor did I wonder why my uncle done sold his Benz
Cause he been tripping now, he sweats a lot and slimming down
I also notice moms be locking doors when he around
But anyways, he wife done left him and now he living with us
My bike is missing, Grandma like to hide her check every month
My uncle's nuts, he used to give me whiskey to piss in cups
Knocking on the door telling me to hurry up, he in a rush
I gave it to him then got my ass whipped for doing it
Moms used to tell me like, nigga, know who you dealing with
Them was the good days 'til I was raised the older ways
Rat-Tone my nigga's brother showed me my first K
I was amazed, me and Floyd was in the back, he called us over like, hey
YAWK, YAWK, YAWK, YAWK! We like, damn, nigga
Then again, YAWK, YAWK! We like, damn, nigga
Hearing him say cuz turned us to a fan, nigga
Later on he got locked so know we're taking his fades
Continue the chapter from his life, we flipping that page
Gangbanging was a ritual and Grandma would help
She should've never left her gun on the shelf"

Second verse of "Hoover Street", real as fuck.

"Hoover Street", "Prescription/Oxymoron", "Blind Threats" all have enough substance to make up for the tracks that lack

My problem with that track is Q's horrible flow stops the track dead at times. The actual flow of the music (its like a 1 out of 10). The dragging out of the track to SEVEN mins. Schoolboy's persona switching to something between 'Who Am I' and Joe Budden. That hook. And how the track just ends with him mumbling 'uh bu boo' - an idea so inspired it could've easily been this instead

It's garbage as a whole and that writing is one technical aspect yeah, but wasted wrapped in such weak track.

Why are you wasting so much of your (and others) time on something you don't like?
Move the fuck on!

Great energy in the track

Will this even get airplay doe?

What would you rate this song out of 10 Will?

6/10 good sound concept and execution. Can't imagine this will get airplay tho.

This about Nicki Minaj's "Lookin' Ass Nigga".

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/2mwNbTL3pOs" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/2mwNbTL3pOs</a>

The 6/10 you gave this is better than EVERY song you rated on Schoolboy's album LMAO. Delete your account.

I gotta get to a Schoolboy concert.

I can honestly say he killed every song from his set except for "Grooveline Pt. 2" he lost the flow of the beat a bit and there was another song he was kinda ehh but I don't know what he was performing I was zapped off lots of bud, yay, and booze hah

he came out to "Fuck LA" and transitioned into "Banger" which was  :o though, that set the show off right

My boy went to his NY show March 3rd I think. He said it was wack.

Said Schoolboy didn't perform a lot of songs, didn't really come through with a lot of energy, didn't have anyone come out & sounded sick.

he did 12 joints off the album alone at the show down here plus easily another 6-8 joints from his older projects, no guests though other than the opening acts Vince Staples and Isaiah Rashad
