Currently reading LL Cool J "I Make My Own Rules" because Eminem recommended it in one of his interviews.  Em said it's actually the only book he's ever read.

Come on cuzz... I mean, I read some of Phil Jacksons books too, they are nice, I've also read Dennis Rodman "Bad As I Wanna Be" (was my favorite as a young teenager) and the Jordan Rules, but why don't you read any of the great hip-hop books that are out there?  Some were mentioned in this thread like Have Gun Will Travel and LL Cool J's bio, here are others I've personally read myself

Snoop - The Doggfather (bio)
Roc the Mic Right- H. Samy Alim
Rough Guide to Hip-Hop - Shapiro
both of Russel Simmons books are very good
2pac Shakur - The Rose that Grew From Concrete
Holler if You Hear Me- Michael Eric Dyson's scholarly work on 2pac
The 5 Percenters - Michael Muhammad Knight
Murder Rap - by Kading (investigating death of Pac and Big)
Bomb the Suburbs - William Upski wimsatt
Shady Bizness - Byron Williams (bodygaurd of Em)

yo.. I'm not saying those are the best books on hip-hop (although some of them are) but those are the ones I've personally read.

You ever check out "When Nothing Else Matters"? It's about MJ's few seasons with the Wizards, good read.

Behold a pale horse is a great book.

Cooper was genuine, he was purposely fed disinfo and that trickles in so u gotta separate the wheat from the chaff. The powers that be straight murdered his ass.

What chall know bout Shell Silverstein "where the sidewalk ends" or Wilson Rawls "Where the red fern grows". Those are my 2 fav fiction joints, I mostly fux wit non-fiction tho.

the one thing i really disliked was his insistence that the Galileo spacecraft (with lots of plutonium) crashing into Jupiter would possibly ignite Jupiter into a star.  the real reason was to avoid contamination with Jupiter's moons.  a legit reason too.

I saw this same "Star" theory on the interwebz a little bit before this happened and knew it was just some dumb theory.  Jupiter is too small to ever turn into a star to begin with....which is a great reason for us being here.

Interesting... I definitely need to check that one out.  I still have never been able to make sense of Jordan's couple of seasons with the Wizards.  Should be a great read.

seems kinda unrelealistic, he´s an ignorant muthafucka then, i think rappers (and not only rappers of course) should read to touch more topics in their lyrics.

I don't, besides the occasional (auto)biography of people that I'm interested in and some Batman graphic novels/trades (yes nerd). But I definitely should read way more, I just can't force myself to do it. I'm not a huge mainstream movie guy either though so it's not like I'm one of those fucks that rather watch the movie than the book it's based off on.
It will always be 1993 to me.

I’m in the middle of "Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club”. It's an easy read. I picked this up after reading Hunter S Thompson Hell Angels book. I’ve been trying to read a lot about the music history in the Bay Area. It all Started with Reading “Bill Graham Presents: My Life Inside Rock and Out” &  “Rage & Roll: Bill Graham and the Selling or Rock”. Both really good books on the 60’s & 70’s music scene in SF.
