In fairness a lot of the players you "stole" from other teams were players who weren't going to getting re-signed by their respective teams anyways.

They were all available on the free agent/trade market and now they aren't available anymore, ergo they sold out.

Selling out is betraying a cause or ideal for personal gain. If you're on the free agent market and your team doesn't want you anymore, simply signing with the Yankees doesn't make you a sell-out, unless you strongly hated the Yankee organization prior to signing with them.

Ellsbury and Cano were both pursued by the franchises they played for their entire careers, and left for more money. Huge difference between them and the others IMO.

Eh, the year he hit 33 for the Yanks he only had one in April, not too worried about him right now.
