Crucial Conflict The Final Tic Appreciation Thread

Kind of a novelty record... these cats came out of nowhere and blew the fucc up in the summer of 96'.  They had party joints, serious joints, gangsta joints, conscious joint, catchy hooks, phat rhymes—all to the tune of a fresh "rodeo" vibe that had never been done before and has never been done since.  It was all raw, wild talent and it took a playa like Fab 5 Freddy to give them the push they needed in a crowded rap game that was at its peek in 96...

Maybe the fast success went to their head, because for whatever reason I think Fab 5 Freddy stopped fuccin wit them after 96', but I'm not sure... They also abandoned the "rodeo style" and they had a couple of nice joints, like the joint they had on Rhyme and Reason soundtrack was pretty nice, and "Scummy" wasn't a bad single to their follow up album, "Roll Somethin" was pretty sick, they had a nice joint with R Kelly.... but ultimately it failed to catch on.  They couldn't have ran with the "rodeo" gimmick any farther, and without Freddy havin their back and without the "rodeo" vibe they fell the fucc off.

But nevermind that, let's celebrate the classic Final Tic album...

I had it and it was average at most, not even relevant as you make it seem

I admitted that it was a novelty record... maybe it just has a lot of sentimental value for me, but it did produce a gold single and a gold album.
