as for myself, my favorite NY rappers are Jeru the Damaja, Afu Ra, Guru (even though he's from Boston really, he always repped Brooklyn), Cormega, AZ and Masta Ace. I like it when rappers keep it simple and eloquent. I also like mcs who spit wisdom lol, i guess i'm a boring dude.
