I think this is waaay better than Blaqkout and Book of David.

BlaqKout is wayyy underrated and some of the best West Coast music in years. I think part of the fan/critical backlash against that album and financial failure, lead to Quik thinking fuck it why put heart and soul into developing rich tracks in the studio. The majority of his stuff since has been either been bitchy and loaded with animosity, following trends (not a good look) or just under developed musically and lyrically.

Puffin on Dragon is sick though. Best track IMO. Awesome beat, dope flow and lyrics.

Had to login to say HOLY SHIT THIS IS dope!!!! I like quik talking about his life... Plus he kept it simple with funky beats that are dope as fuck! Puffin the dragon, pet sedementary, fuck all night, broken down.. Suga free drops a classic verse... This is a bit better than BOD to me but i loved that too
So much style back at it again

listened the album all weekend..(via youtube)

Damn the album is good...Trapped on The Track grew on me...same with That Getter,Back Tha Shit Up;

Shine, it's average..like the homie says..Nate Dogg was alive and sang the chorus...or Butch Cassidy ..the song would be better..

Sample?!?!? 2 samples was identified...(Interpolations)

Pet Sematary contains interpolation of Ohio Players..Ecstasy

Puffin The Dragon contains interpolation of Hot Chocolate - Brother Louie, (or maybe Stories cover version)

The Conduct chorus contain a sample...and Fuck All Night probably contains a sample of some 80's song.

PS: After 24 years, Tweed Cadillac got a featuring in a Quik LP
