I looked again and the Beat for "Gave Em A Few" should be from U.N.L.V's "Drag Em In Tha River"...

"All I Want" also appeared as soundtrack in the movie "The L.A. Riot Spectacular"
though the version on there sounds slightly different

okay, on to Vol. 2
original production on there
01. So Fly - prod by Missy Elliott
07. What's Your Fantasy - prod by Soundscannerz (Josef Leimberg & Quaze)
23. Do It Till It Hurt (Outro) - prod by Quaze
some of the others songs might also be original productions but I don't know who did em

Two more questions about vol. 1
Does anybody know something bout the song "What You Desire" ? Is that an original beat ?
And 8Ball & MJGs "Living Legends" album was released n 2004 (May) and on various sites the date september 2004 is listed for the first wttc mixtape. In this case they wouldve took the beat from 8Ball & MJG not the other way around. But I believe vol. 1 was released earlier than 2004, I think it was 2002.
Who can give me the exact release date ?

  • you should add the production credits for the Original Production songs in the first post, somebody might be interested in them
  • I can confirm "What You Desire" is an original production by Terrace Martin, sorry forgot about that one
  • The song after the outro "Get Up & Party" is also an original poduction, it was prod by Goldfingaz, also was released as "Dance Wit Me" on the soundtrack of "True Crime: Streets Of LA". Marvin Gaye is obviously a sample and I heard Quaze did the additional vocals
  • Vol. 1 (and also Vol. 2 & 3) definitly came out in 2003. There might be different dates for hard copy versions but (at least) Vol. 1 & 2 originally dropped as free downloads on the official Doggystyle Records website.

Ok fixed the list for Vol. 1, only need to list the producer for Run Up On U by 213 now. I know it was also on the "The Hard Way" album but who produced it ?
After that we can continue with Vol. 2
