Albums that deserve more recognition!
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:17:41 AM »
We all have albums which we think deserve more recognition or went under the rader. Which ones do you think from the past have not got the credit they deserve?

I'm gonna start with these 3

MC Ren - Ruthless For Life
MC Eiht - Section 8
Shade Sheist - Informal Introduction

These 3 albums have been on my playlist for years but never seem to get mentioned by anyone else.

Ras Kass - Rassassination...every1 talks about "Soul on Ice" and rightfully so but his 2nd album usually gets the Doggfather treatment

most albums from the bay don't get enough recognition.

But I'm a do it like this so your crew will know
Tie your leg to a car, tie the other to a pole
Talk shit and laugh cause I got the gift of gab
Hop in the car, hit the gas, watch your ass split in half

WC - The Shadiest One

This.  I got this album this year and have played the hell out of it.  It's one of the last no-nonsense gangsta rap records from the golden age 90s West-coast rap.

Kurupt - Street Lights - Some great great tracks here, including Yessir by Pete Rock, this was Kurupts mini comeback in my eyes....great products and songs.

Chino XL - RICANstruction - Double album, full to the brim with great features, the best punchlines and some great storytelling....

Xzibit - Napalm.....Dropped when Kendricks big album dropped, so went under the radar, some really good songs here, one of his better releases for sure...

Horseshoe Gang - Firing Squad -  how the fuck are these guys still not recognized? incredible lyrics and flow....check out 'Picture of anger' for example.

Above the law - Legends - this album still knocks today, crisp clean production and every single song is a banger.....ATL at their Peak.

Celly Cel - G Filez - while Killa Kali was his best  work - this one had it all too....''Its goin down RMX''
