At least on Relapse his verses had some sort of chronological order. Like throughout the verse it was all one "story"; if you want to call it that. Like nowadays each bar in one verse is like different sides of the galaxy lol. He just throws words together, tries to throw "clever" but absurdly corny word play.

"e fi fo fum I think I smell the scent of a placenta
I enter central park it's dark it's winter in December I see my target with my car and park it and approach a tender
Young girl by the name of Brenda and I pretend to befriend her
Sit down beside her like a spider hi there girl you mighta
Heard of me before see whore your the kinda girl that I'd
Assault and rape and figure why not try to make your pussy wida
Fuck you with an umbrella then open it up while the shit's inside ya
I'm the kind of guy that's mild but I mite flip and get a little bit wilder
Impregnate a lesbian girl now lets see ya have triplets and I'll
Disintegrate them babies as soon as that out her with formalda-
Hide and cyanide girl you can try and hide you can try to scream louder
No need for no gun powder that only takes all the fun outta
Murderin' I'd rather go vrim! vrim! and now you see just how the
Fuck I do just what I do when I cut right through your scalp, uh
Shit wait a minute I mean skull my knife seems dull
Pull another one out, Uh!"
-Wide Awake

Like that verse is bleh, but at least he flowed, didn't use that awful two second pause in the middle of words & he spent the entire verse about one thing. Now he says shit like "I'll rip the green off a frog & walk through the fog, holdin a log, lesbians like to jog" & you have no idea what he's talking about, it just all rhymes lol. That's what made him top 3 back in his prime. He would spit things you could chronologically follow & it flowed & it sounded awesome; not some jumbled together punchlines & call it a verse.

& yeah, the production was in another stratosphere.

I don't know. I think Beautiful was one of his best post Em Show tracks, and if he raped just a bit more naturally, rather than force a melodic flow it may have fit well on any of his best albums.

Yeah I think Em just dips into fragments from his rhyme notebook for verses these days. Nothing much to do with the song title/concept

guts over fear sounded pretty on point subject wise....just wasnt feelin the sappy vibe of the track or the pop production, but it could be much worse lyrically.

"Guts Over Fear" is damn near the magnum opus of the second half of Em's career.  Everything is on point.  The beat is mesmerizing, the lyrics are real as fuck, answering all of Em's critics which is what Em does best, and also leveling with the fans and explaining why he has had to make the moves that he has in his career.  Then SIA is stellar over the hook.  The video looks great as well...

...I think once again Em is ahead of the curve on that track, and fans like you are slow and haven't caught up yet.   You need "Bars" and shit like that, you need a DJ Premier type of beat and a rapper saying some shit like "I play both sides like lesbians/throw you in a dike, bitch/ and ride over you with my bike" or something like that! HAHA  Em's on some Beeth-oven type level and you just can't understand it, playa  8)

Y'all niggas gotta stop lmao. Nothing Eminem has done recently is relatively close to his career before 2003. Just stop trolling.

His best verse recently is his last verse on "Bad Guy". As far as "realest" goes.

I can't believe you're cumming over a song where his flow is choppy as fuck with the worst hook I've ever heard Sia sing and the subject matter of "I'm recycling song topics because I have nothing left to say". But have the balls to mention all the greatest songs by the greatest artists ever in the same thread.
