After a stint as a professional football player, Southern rap artist Chocolate Bandit signed to Death Row Records. His "What's the Deal" single was featured on Death Row's Gang Related soundtrack. However, that was the culmination of his Death Row stint since the label entered a dormant period following 2Pac's death. Chocolate Bandit returned in 2001 with Lyrical Warfare, an album he recorded for Country Boy Records. The album features production by Reggie Moore.
