Not shame on all of us you mindless cunt, that's like asking lions to be ashamed for hunting other animals.

It shouldn't be a surprise that humans by nature exploit each other, sometimes violently, for gain. It's been our history since day one.

The majority of us (humans) have been able to steer away from physical brutality while in competition, but look at whats going on in Africa with various Muslim factions as they vie for control over territory. They are kidnapping, raping, bombing and shooting people en masse, and you want to sit here and boo hoo about the white people of the world and how mean they were. Wake up.

Since our Western governments and corporations, as OP said, are  continuously exploiting the rest of the world, thinking that, even on a more personal level, we might be partly responsible here is that absurd to you? Why?

I don't see it as absurd at all. I readily accept that as reality. What is absurd is the shame or guilt that she advocated we all internalize as though we (westerners) are somehow guiltier than people from other cultures.

My point is that with razor thin exception, every society since the dawn of humanity has been built on conquering, violently or otherwise.

Brutality is in every human's DNA, and to somehow walk around every day beating ourselves up for it if we are white, or from a long line of "westerners" is ignorant and self destructive. But if she or any of you want to do so, be my guest.

Well said.

We are the ones who fund our own demise and oppression.

We refuse to pay $1 extra for an organic pack of vegetables, from the local farm shop, which helps employ local people in a local company helping the local community, with any decisions being made on a local level. Instead we prefer to turn our backs on them and hand over our money to the faceless walmarts of the world for the "convenience", then complain when these corporations grow, killing off all competition, all locally owned businesses, and having a slave-like work mentality with very few job prospects in a town (fast food, or supermarket - take your pick)

Our money, and 'how' we spend it is the power. It has far more weight than voting, far more weight than demonstrations or freedom of speech

The one big flaw of Individualism is that people somehow happily accept that self-value is in any form connected to material gains.
