DESTINY’s CHILD beauty BEYONCE KNOWLES is dating rapper 50 CENT in what must be one of the strangest romances in showbiz.

She is a squeaky-clean, bible-bashing singer and he is a former crack cocaine dealer who boasts about guns and violence and has been shot nine times.

Beyonce and 50 Cent — real name CURTIS JACKSON — have secretly been an item since she split with JAY-Z last month.

The sexy singer and Jay-Z got together after duetting on their track, ’03 Bonnie & Clyde.

But pals say that her close friendship with 50 Cent, who is EMINEM’s protégé, caused a rift which led to a split.

One said: “Beyonce may be a goody-goody but she can’t get enough of 50 Cent.

“He’s the hottest man in rap and his past doesn’t seem to cause any problems between them.

“Beyonce and 50 Cent started dating after they worked together on a track and her relationship with Jay-Z ended pretty soon after that.”

But I’m sure the deeply religious singer won’t be rushing to take her new bad-boy lover home to meet mum.

50 Cent, who comes from New York’s rough Queens district and is signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, started selling crack when he was 19 and claims he spent every summer in jail.

He almost died when he was shot nine times in a gangland hit in 2000 and has been stabbed and beaten.

He now refuses to go anywhere unless he is wearing a bullet-proof vest.


His debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, is the top-selling rap album ever. It has already sold four million copies and is still flying off the shelves. Here is a sample of his charming lyrics:

Of his gun-toting background, he says: “The gangsters don’t like that I do whatever the f*** I wanna do.

“Where I’m from, life is cheap. For 5,000 dollars you could kill somebody.”

It’s all rather different from the kind of message usually spouted by Beyonce.

She once said: “I’ve got my religion and that is my therapy.

“I’m not worried about sex or partying or anything like that.

“I have always followed God, he is the most important person.”

It must be love because I’m told Beyonce has recorded a special mix of 50 Cent’s hit In Da Club..
