confidence is a prerequisite in rap, it makes sense they claim to be the greatest hip hop duo since they left a huge imprint on the game, even though it may sound like a bold statement to many rap fans.


I'll say this though : they're arguably the greatest duo of all time, along with the likes of Outkast, EPMD, UGK, etc.

personally they're far from my favorite but you can't say that they weren't influential.

EPMD were pioneers but they aren't in that category as they haven't dropped anything noteworthy in like 2 decades lol everyone else at least has longevity

OutKast bodies all duos in terms of catalog though

EDIT: actually UGK might kill everyone

Best duo ever is The Clipse! No duo has ever gone verse for verse with consistency like them! They shine equaly on every track unlike the others where one out shines the other. Bad-n-fluenz was good for that as well as 187fac(dengee)... UGK is my favorite group but there are songs when Pimp C rips Bun B and vice versa.

EPMD shits on MOBB DEEP. Mobb Deep's 2nd and 3rd album are amazing but not even In my top 20 as well as duo's
