That trumpet outro on ''talking to my diary'' is amazing.

It had me like....................

What an ending of a great album.

I dont want to bad mouth the album as ive only given it one listen...first thoughts are that it is far from a classic.
I like a handful of the tracks but i skipped quite a few.

I think this album may be a grower so maybe it is better to give an opinion after a week of listening to it.
I am not blown away by it so far though

Although I frequent another forum ( Boxden ) , I value west coast opinions the most here since it is the die hard focus here. The album was okay..Too much going on...a few nice thumpers I guess for the fans of how it once was , but it is clearly aimed at new school fans . No laid verses from Dre , just Kendrick-type fast paced flows for the most part...Happy I  somewhat  since we have another release , but have also come to realize we will never get that classic sound back.

You were never gonna get that classic sound. Dre has changed his sound every few years starting all the way back from World Class Wrecking Crew. This is 16 years after his last album.

I was just happy to see Dre project out.

Gave it a spin and it's not bad but it sure is not a classic.

Gave the album a spin today while I drove around and it reminds me of listening to 2001.  You have your songs you love off the bat but there is too much going on to get it all in one sitting.  That Dre/Premier collabo is bonkers though.  And that little instrumentation that kicks in behind the "Murder" chorus on "Genocide" is one of those sick production details that it took me a few listens to pick up on but it's very dope.

Is it a classic?  Hard to call.  Time creates classics but right now, I am really feeling the album.  We can all nitpick it to death but it shits over a lot of those Detox leaks that we were all so critical of.
