Tupac’s letter on “the rite of passage of a young black male in America” to be sold by Moments In Time.
Weeks after it was revealed that handwritten lyric sheets from the late Tupac Shakur were to sell at auction, it has now been announced that another handwritten document from the rapper will soon be sold.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the handwritten letter is being sold for $225,000 on the Moments In Time website. (

)
The publication also reports that Tupac penned the letter, which was addressed to Nina Bhadreshwar, an editor at Death Row Uncut magazine, while he was in prison serving time on sexual assault charges.
At the start of the letter, Tupac states that he is “not granting this information to any other publication.”
From there, he appears to denounce the thug life lifestyle, and later comments on becoming a “Boss Playa.”
“[Many] never survive the next level of Thug Life . . . They become addicted to death. A True Boss Playa knows when to advance . . . U must play the game, not let the game play u,” Tupac wrote, according to Page Six. “A regular Playa plays women . . . a Boss Playa plays life. A Boss Playa is a thinker, a leader, a builder, a moneymaker, a souljah, a teacher and most of all, a Man! I want all my homiez to know there is another level.”
The letter from Tupac consists of five pages, and according to Bhadreshwar, it touches on “the rite of passage of a young black male in America.”

I agree that $225,000 for a letter is insane, but this does sound like one of the more interesting pieces of unreleased Tupac material to emerge in recent years.
Pac wrote some extremely insightful and detailed letters from jail. Some of the ones published in Angela Ardis's book are really great, and share many otherwise unknown details about Pac's private life.
This new letter sounds like it could shed some light on some words and phrases Pac started using on Death Row. It's cool to know what "Boss Playa" meant to him. I hope this letter is eventually published and made available to everyone.
