After 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant retired following a 60-point performance against the Utah Jazz. Following one of the greatest career finishes in all of sports, Bryant has started his own company (Kobe Inc.) and is interested in the art of storytelling.

Through the years, Snoop Dogg has been one of Bryant’s biggest supporters. To show his respect for one of the greatest players of all-time, the rapper gave Bryant a Lakers-themed car as a retirement gift according to Twitter:

Since retirement, Bryant has made numerous public appearances and has even prepared Buddy Hield for the 2016 NBA Draft, who went sixth overall to the New Orleans Pelicans. While the five-time champion is focused on the next chapter of his life, he was recently in Manila for his Mamba Mentality Tour with Nike.

As the Lakers begin the next era in their franchise history, there is optimism with head coach Luke Walton and selecting Brandon Ingram with the second overall pick. While free agency has not gone according to plan for general manager Mitch Kupchak and company, they have added Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng to provide a veteran presence on and off the court.

Bryant averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his final season.
