Sonny Digital - G.O.A.T. - EP
« on: October 02, 2016, 04:12:42 PM »
Sonny Digital is not only stunting from the boards now, but is flexing from the mic, too as the Atlanta producer dropped his G.O.A.T. EP, his first rap project.

The G.O.A.T. EP, which is released in partnership with Hennessy, is made up of four tracks with commentary about each. Guest appearances come from Key!, Black Boe and Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd.

The Kanye West influences continue after he told HipHopDX that his debut album will be this generation’s College Dropout. On the EP, the intro track, “First Call,” is Sonny’s version of Yeezy’s "Last Call."

Sonny Digital’s G.O.A.T. EP stream, cover art and tracklist are below.

1. First Call
2. First Call Commentary
3. Lenox Square (feat. Key! & Black Boe)
4. Lenox Square Commentary
5. On Me
6. On Me Commentary
7. That's It (feat. Swae Lee)
8. That’s It Commentary

Finally got around to listening to this. I've been waiting on a Sonny Digital album for a bit.

One of the best producers of the current 'Atlanta/trap' sound - up there with Metro Boomin IMO

Disappointed to see its only 4 tracks and he hasn't included any of his recent singles.

Album still bumps though and j can hear a definite g-funk influence. Just listen to Lenox Sq especially when SD comes in.

Decent overall
Always talkin bout the cash he got, the little pesos for shows
And God knows his materialistic raps and wack flows
are like Stay Free pads, fake V.I.P. rappers get garbage disposed
Unrecouped for his flamboyance and reflection
He's leasin rentin and frontin
